i hate yahoo small business hosting so much that if i would get a chance i would break their servers. These are the major problem you might get from yahoo:
low php vesion:
Yahoo hosting is the only hosting that i have found that still uses php 4.11 which stops you from installing latest script.
You will be unable to run wordpress blog [ due to memory limit], wallpaper site or anything related to images[ due to low version of image magic and GD library] and many more problem.

If you still want to use it get ready to slap yourself with your decision.

How can I tell the scams from the legitimate offers?

David, it’s actually pretty simple. Do your own due diligence. If you’re thinking about working with a company that you’re not familiar with, just do some searching on Google for information about their company. If there are a lot of complaints, that’s not a good sign and if there is no information whatsoever, that can also be a read flag. Just be cautious, ask around, and look up company’s and you shouldn’t run into any problems.
